Six months after the murder of Juliane Modica, Pippo Mauro, Luca Modica and Luca’s daughter Sofia are hiding out in Munich. Acting on orders from ’Ndrangheta boss Domenico Palladio, Luca and Mauro become involved in a kidnapping that ends in death. While Batic and Leitmayr investigate the case in Munich, Dortmund detective Peter Faber travels there on his own after tracing a call Sofia made to her deceased mother. The two Tatort teams once again cross paths as Sofia tries to discover what happened to her mother.
